Hi! My name is Brianna Cooper and I am excited about starting my 7th year of teaching! I have worked in two districts: Columbia Public Schools and Ritenour School District. I taught third grade for 2 years, and first grade for 2 years, and this will be my 3rd year in Second grade!    I have a German Shepard who is 7 years old. My nephew named her Watermelon. She goes by “Mellie” for short. I also have a leopard gecko named Hedwig. I named him after Harry Potter’s pet owl. He is our classroom pet, so you will be able to meet him! I love playing games, going to the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer, and doing outdoor activities with friends and family.   Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Isabella Fister and I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Wyland Elementary!

I am originally from Honduras and I came to the United States to get my bachelor’s degree at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, MO.

This will be my fifth year teaching. In the past, I have taught 1 year of Kindergarten and 3 years of second grade. I absolutely love teaching second grade and building relationships with my students and families.

While my family is all around the world, I have created a family here as well. My husband, Joseph, and I have a beautiful dog. Her name is Moana, and since I am a huge Disney fan, she is a rescued lab mix and loves rollerblading, walking, and playing. We love to go on hikes and road trips to new places, and I absolutely love traveling all around the world to see new cultures and traditions. I cannot wait to start the year with my students and families at Wyland!

My name is Cindy Herd.   I have taught elementary for nineteen years. Eleven of those years were in second grade at Wyland.   I graduated from Missouri State University and received my Master's in Elementary Education at UMSL.  I love teaching and my family. My husband, Barry, and I have three daughters.  One of them teaches fourth grade in Fort Zumwalt. We have a wonderful dog named Ryder and two sweet cats named Bella and Mochi. I love taking walks with my family, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and enjoying the outside. I look forward to teaching this year and building new relationships with my students and their families.

My name is Christine Hoffmeyer and I am your child’s 2nd grade teacher.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself. This will be my twenty-seventh year teaching at Wyland.  I have been a classroom teacher in third, fourth, and fifth grade at Wyland.  For the last two years at Wyland, I have worked with small groups of students, and last year I worked as an additional first-grade teacher to support students in small groups.  I am very excited to work with second graders this year! My family includes my husband, my three children, and my golden lab, Finn.

My name is Lauren Murphy and I am excited to be teaching second grade for my third year at Wyland! I  went to the University of Kentucky for my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am currently working on my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I've lived all over the country, including New York, Illinois, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Kentucky. I went to high school in St. Louis and I love getting to spend time with my family and friends in this amazing city. I have two dogs, Tito and Brody. I love reading, working out, and being outdoors, but my happy place is the beach. I can't wait to meet my students and start the new school year!
