Music

Hello! 2024-2025 will be my third year of teaching, and my first year in Ritenour. I graduated in 2022 from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (with an emphasis on Vocal Music). I love to sing and often sing with the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus. I also enjoy playing piano, ukulele, guitar, and spending time with my fiance and our two cats. I am thrilled to be joining the Wyland team this year and sharing my love of music with Wyland’s students!

Hello, my name is Sage Sharpe!

I am a passionate art educator and artist. This is my first year as an educator and I am eager to begin my journey with Wyland. I earned my Associate of Arts in Teaching degree from Jefferson College, and I earned my Bachelor’s in Art Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis.

I decided to pursue a career in teaching while completing the A+ tutoring program during high school in an elementary art classroom. Seeing young artists find their artistic passion was moving and I am excited to be a part of that for the Wyland community too. Outside of school, I really enjoy time outdoors, spending time with my family and friends, and playing the Sims. I have three cats and a dog. I have a personal interest in sculpting mediums, ephemeral art, and artistic content related to positivity and nature.

I have been a PE teacher in Ritenour for 22 years, with the last 16 of them at Wyland. I have a Bachelor’s degree in history from Illinois College and a Master’s degree in education from Washington University. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 28 years, and I have two awesome sons who are in college. I also have an adorable little dog named Mochi. My very favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I also love to ride my bike. Every year I do a 100-mile ride at least one time.
