My name is Mattisyn Perak and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Wyland Elementary. This will be my fourth year working at Wyland and my sixth year working as an SLP at the elementary level. I graduated from Saint Louis University with my Masters degree in Speech Pathology in 2019. I love watching our students grow and increase their communication skills. There are many skill areas that I focus on with students, including articulation, receptive and expressive language, social language, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). I enjoy being a part of the Wyland team and supporting our Wyland Dolphins to be successful learners and communicators!

Hello!
My name is Kaela Luna, and I am one of the Speech-Language Pathologists at Wyland. I started my career at Wyland, and am honored to be returning for a 4th school year here. I love being a part of the Ritenour and Wyland communities. As an SLP, I work with students from K-5 to help improve their communication skills. It is amazing to see all of the progress our students make throughout each school year.
Prior to beginning my career, I attended Maryville University, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Next, I attended Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (SIUE), where I earned a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Although I may have completed my education, I continue to learn new things every day by working with students. My goal for this upcoming school year is to learn more about AAC communication devices.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy running/exercising, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I also spend a lot of time with the two little boys I nanny, who are 4 and 6. I spent this past summer doing all of the activities mentioned above, so I am ready to be back at Wyland for another amazing school year!
