About Ms. Merriman

Kennedy Merriman – School Social Worker
This is my third year at Wyland and my fourth year working as a school social worker. I'm excited to continue being a part of the Wyland community and to support our students, families, and staff.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL). As a school social worker, I help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by addressing barriers to learning. I work closely with families, teachers, and administrators to provide support in areas such as mental health, behavior, social skills, crisis intervention, and connecting with community resources.

I'm passionate about creating a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband and family, reading a good book, and enjoying time outside.
