2025 Ritenour Homecoming: A Weekend of School Spirit and Hollywood Elegance

Ritenour’s 2025 Homecoming weekend was nothing short of spectacular, uniting the community in a celebration of Husky pride under the dazzling theme “Hollywood Huskies.”

The festivities began on Sept. 26 with the Ritenour Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where alumni (l to r) Dr. David A. Smith (Class of 1981), Suzy Fortune (Class of 1981), and Tavonda Palmer Harvey (Class of 2000) were honored for their accomplishments. In addition, Dr. Paul Doerrer received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Their stories of excellence and impact set an inspiring tone for the weekend.

Hall of Fame Honorees 2025

The excitement carried into Saturday as hundreds of spectators lined the three-mile parade route, cheering on floats and walking groups that handed out candy and brought the Hollywood Husky theme to life with creativity and flair. Competition was fierce, with the Junior Class of 2027 taking first place in the Class Floats category. The New Era Dance Company earned top honors in Community Floats, while the Ritenour School for Early Childhood Education proudly claimed first in the Organization/Club division.

At Moore Field, the Huskies gave fans even more to celebrate, delivering a commanding 41 to 3 victory over the Lindbergh Flyers. Halftime entertainment showcased the incredible talents of the marching band, cheerleaders, flag team, and Rhythmettes, filling the stadium with energy and applause.

The spotlight then turned to the Homecoming Court, whose elegance and pride lit up the evening. The crowning of Homecoming Royalty, Maddie Miller and Aniyah Henderson, brought a wave of cheers and applause from the crowd.

The weekend wrapped up with a night of food, music, and dancing as students filled the auditorium lobby and Costillow Gym for the traditional Homecoming dance, an unforgettable finale to a weekend brimming with spirit, tradition, and community.
